Area profile

The small rural village of Llanddoged lies about a mile from Llanrwst and sixteen miles from Llandudno. It has a largely Welsh speaking population with farming as the main form of employment.

Llanddoged shares its community council with the rural community of Maenan. Maenan is about four miles from Llanrwst and had a population of approximately 300 recorded in the 2001 Census, of which 75% are Welsh speakers.

The nearest railway station is in Dolgarrog and bus services through Maenan are limited.

Two small hamlets of Groesffordd and Tan-Lan are attached to Llanddoged
