What should I bring to the interview?


It is important that you bring as much information as you can to the meetings with your housing solutions officer. When you make any appointment we will give you examples of what you will need to be bring. These could be:

 

  • Identification (birth certificate, drivers licence, NHS medical card, passport) •
  • Proof of income / benefits (current award letters from DWP, bank or building society statements)
  • Proof of residency (gas or electric bill, home phone bill) •
  • Letter from mortgage company
  • Letter from landlord an/or agents acting on their behalf 
  • Court paperwork

During your meeting your housing solutions officer will ask you:

 

  • How and why you became homeless
  •  Where you have lived for the past five years 
  • Whether you have any medical problems or special housing needs
  • For information on anyone else who is expected to live with you 
  • What you would like to happen to resolve your housing problem.
